Congress is on August Recess until September 10. This means the people who represent you in Congress are back at home. This summer work period provides an excellent opportunity for you to advocate for
autism issues. Just call your Member of Congress' local office and ask for an appointment. Many members use this time to host "constituent coffee hours" and "town hall meetings." To Read more Click HERE

ADD Priority Survey

add_priority_survey_ADD is seeking your input as we begin to consider future plans and how ADD can best meet the diverse needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, across the country.
ADD seeks to utilize our resources to work on the priorities of the developmental disabilities community, and we hope to focus our energy on the most pressing and relevant concerns affecting people with developmental disabilities and their families. As such, we are looking for your thoughts regarding the focus of future Projects of National Significance (PNS).

Participants Requested for Government Survey about Family Programs

The Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) in the Department of Health and Human Services is seeking information about
the needs of people with developmental disabilities. ADD funds projects of national significance (PNS) designed to foster systems
change in meeting the needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families. ADD is asking people to complete a short online survey about the types of programs and projects that would be most helpful to people and their families. The survey can be completed

Senate Passes Equal Access to 21st Century Communications Act

Disability advocates hope for support in the House of Representatives By unanimous consent, the Senate passed the Equal Access to 21st Century Communications Act (S. 3304). The House of Representatives version of the bill, H.R. 3101, passed on the 20th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26.
