Sensory Experiences Project - Survey of Children’s Sensory Experiences

Participant Criteria:

  • Inclusion criteria: Parents of children, ages 2-12 years, with a current Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis
  • Exclusion criteria: Families with children with specific associated conditions (e.g., tuberous sclerosis, neurofibromatisis, fragile X syndrome, Rett syndrome; blindness; deafness, cerebral palsy) are not eligible.

Predictors of Impairment in Pediatric Autism Spectrum Disorders

 

Participants Accepted until: :4/1/2011 (or until N of 500 is reached)

 

Participant Criteria: Inclusion criteria are as follows:

  • The children of participants must have an ASD diagnosis;
  • The children of participants must be between the ages of 5 and 18 years;
  • The parent or caregiver participants must have a computer with internet access and know how to navigate through the website; (d) The participants must be English speaking as we are unable to translate the measures due to resource limitations. Participants who do not wish to participate in the study will be excluded. This will be assessed on the initial webpage of the study in which the participant is provided with information detailing the study (see Cover Letter document) and allotted the opportunity to provide or refuse consent.

Michigan State University Study of an Internet-based Training Program

We are conducting a study to look at the use of an Internet-based parent training program. 

The program will introduce parents to Reciprocal Imitation Training, an evidence-based, naturalistic behavioral intervention aimed at developing imitation skills in young children with ASD. This study is approved by MSU's Institutional Review Board.
